Personality: Kat is a dark, quiet girl. She remains to herself most of the time, but shall rampage if aggravated. Kat loves animals, especially foxes, but will never show a sign of feeling or admiration towards them, let alone anyone or anything else. She very much despises the areas she can remember from her crude past and those who show better weaponry skill over her.

History/Background: Kat began life as a young child and lived with a rich family until the age of 10, when she found that this family wasn't her own, they were her adoptive family. Kat ran away. She ran far away from the family and started living on the streets. Kat walked along the streets, a pain in her stomach from hunger. Once, Kat walked upon a mysterious shop with black walls and spikes protruding from the edges of the roof. A man wearing a dark combat suit came out of the doors and approached the dieing Kat. He scooped up the girl and brought her into the shop. There the man house her and taught her. He taught her some interesting things. He taught her to use some different sorts of weapons. The katar, katana and naginata were top on the list. Once Kuroi was able to defeat the man, he gave her some money and naginata and sent her away. Kat walked, once again, along the streets of the city. She was at the age of 14 when a bad occurrence happened. Kat found another wielding a naginata and she challenged him. Unfortunately, Kat thought she was the best with her skill. Once the battle had ended, Kat now knew she wasn't the best, after she had died.
The whole, that was Kat, roamed the city and watched the people walk by, living great lives. She sat in the corner of an alley, watching the small opening at the entrance of the alley. Kat cried every once in a while and would get angry whenever a rich human would walk by her vision. A shinigami found her by luck after chasing a hollow to the alley where she sat. The shinigami murdered the hollow swiftly and brought Kuroi to the Rukongai.
In the Rukongai Kat got agitated quite frequently because the district she was in was such a high number. Often times she would get so agitated she would kill somebody and nobody on the streets cared. She met a girl on the streets, however, that wasn't as bad as everybody else. The girl looked very young and had blond hair. The two considered each other sisters until the other had disappeared randomly. Once, a shinigami that was in the district saw the reitsu that Kuroi had produced while fighting somebody. He asked her to walk with him and she slightly optimistically accepted.
The shinigami brought her to the academy, where she trained vigorously to graduation. The fighting skills she had achieved while she was alive were now helping her greatly. Shinigami from Kat's squad annoyed her sometimes... sometimes so much she wanted to kill them... which she attempted. She failed after trying to fight them and she said it was a friendly spar so she wouldn't get executed.
Kat needed more power. She needed something that would make her able to defeat her fellow squadmates. Kat was patrolling Karakura and found an odd being, a very powerful being that looked like a shinigami, but it wasn't. She asked how the being had gotten the power and the Vaizard explained what he had done.
After Kat asked this Vaizard for help, he accepted. The Vaizard told Kat to remain still as he started to make her a Vaizard. He started to try and agitate her and started to slash at her. Kat's anger over powered her and her inner hollow started to take over. This battle was hard on the young Vaizard, but he made it and Kat was now a brand new Vaizard.

Details: Kat has a habit of staring at the moon in the middle of the night and also staying quiet for a couple seconds when she is supposed to rhetort to something
